Lauridsen Skatepark Volunteer Days

About this event:

Volunteers are invited to come out and make a positive impact at the Lauridsen Skatepark through litter removal and care for native gardens! Trash removal and care for three native gardens that help to improve water quality will help to beautify our favorite skatepark, and also positively impact the Des Moines River.

ACTIVITY: Park beautification – litter removal, native garden maintenance



By registering for this event, I acknowledge that it may include a registration waitlist. In the event that I and/or members of my group are unable to attend, I will cancel my registration to allow others to join this event.

DEADLINE: Register by noon the day prior. Late registrations and walkups are welcome if the event is not at capacity. Please notify Volunteer Coordinators to inquire about attendance.

COST: Free


AGES: All ages and abilities are welcome. No experience is necessary.

WHAT TO BRING: It is recommended to wear closed-toe shoes. Dress for the weather and in clothing you do not mind getting dirty. Bring a refillable water bottle and gloves, if you have them. Gloves will be provided for those without.

Each event participant will be provided with proper personal protective equipment and training as needed
